The book launch for One Smooth Stone and Family Reunion was held on the first night of Inscribe's Fall Conference and it was a great success. Yes, that's a cake! I'm not sure how they did it, but they managed to get both book covers on the icing and they looked like photographs - amazing. Thanks to all who arranged that surprise and thanks to all those who bought the books!
I have already heard one story of how God has used One Smooth Stone in someone's life - and only three boxes are out there! I'm truly excited to see what God is going to do with this book.

Good News! I have just been accepted at the Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg Manitoba to study with Rudy Wiebe in an Advanced Fiction Mentoring program. Rudy is a Canadian Literary Icon and he has been one of my favourite writers for many years. I am extremely thrilled to have been accepted as one of 10 writers from across Canada to participate in this mentorship program.
I would appreciate your prayers as I go this Sunday, May 18. Pray that I would absorb everything like a sponge and be able to squeeze it all out to teach others when I come back.
